Job Description/ Responsibilities:
The Technical Support Specialist provides technical support to our end users regarding issues with hardware, software, operating systems, phones, and peripherals as well as support for all applications and products used within the company. Communication with users is done via email, phone, and remote access or in person. Activities include but are not limited to installations, upgrades, maintenance, troubleshooting, and diagnostics to determine solutions and alternatives to various problems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and training to end users for equipment and services provided by IT via email, phone, remote access, and in person.
  • Provision for new hires including setting up account(s), preparing workstations, desks, phones, and installing appropriate applications.
  • Set up various computers, servers, printers, peripherals and networking equipment.
  • Manage computers, users and policies in Active Directory.
  • Assist in the resolution of issues related to our infrastructure, both internally hosted and cloud-based. This includes things like e-mail, printers, wired and wireless networks, web meetings, and VPN.
  • Job Skills / Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in an IT Support related field.
  • Must have knowledge of Microsoft Technologies (Windows, Exchange, Office, SQL Server).
  • Must be able to troubleshoot and resolve issues with operating systems, applications, network printing, e-mail, connectivity, remote access, and hardware.
  • Ability to communicate with all types of users (both technical and non-technical) to articulate, analyze, and resolve issues over the telephone, in person and via remote access.
  • Must be able to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize them accordingly.
  • Ability to move equipment that may weigh up to 50 lbs. and crouch under desks for installations.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must possess strong customer service skills.
    Desired Skills:
  • Microsoft Certifications a plus!
  • Ability to assess situations quickly and thoroughly.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
