We are currently defining new products to support this rapidly changing industry and you will be the person leading the effort to define the platform and technologies that will be used and execute the development of these new products. You will be integral in contributing to the future direction of the company from a technical perspective by deciding what challenges to tackle, what platforms to embrace and what technologies to employ to bring these products to market.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- You will be the lead designer and developer of scalable web-based products for the staffing industry
- You will be the technical leader of the team throughout the development life cycle
- You will be a hands-on coder and become the subject matter expert of the products.
- You will have significant influence over the vision, features and design of the products
- Ultimately, you will be involved in all phases of a product life cycle from imagination through market delivery
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline
- 8+ years of software design and web development experience
- Must be highly technical hands-on coder and an effective team leader
- Experience with Python and the Django web framework (other open source platforms / technologies will be considered)
- Experience in server-side applications and relational database
- Strong understanding of REST, SOAP and Web Services
- JavaScript / AJAX including experience with frameworks like JQuery or AngularJS
- Experience building responsive websites
- Must be proactive, self-directed, detailed and organized
- Knowledge of AWS deployments is highly desirable
